National aerospace company is seeking a talented Labor and Employment Attorney for an immediate Counsel opening in Reno, Nevada. If you have a proven track record in government employment law, providing counsel on critical HR processes, and developing effective policies, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of government employment laws
• Field questions and provide expert counsel on onboarding processes, drug screening procedures, and termination protocols.
• Develop and implement strategies to minimize legal risks associated with these critical areas.
• Leverage your experience to create and update policies and employee handbooks.
• Ensure all documentation aligns with current legal standards and industry best practices

Requirements

Qualifications:
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Labor and Employment Attorney/ in-house Counsel
• Must be a licensed Attorney
• Proven track record of successfully handling onboarding, drug screening, and termination issues.
• In-depth knowledge of government employment law; bonus for familiarity with Colorado labor laws.
• Ability to interpret and apply legal principles to practical employment scenarios.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to articulate complex legal concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
• Proven ability to approach challenges with a solutions-oriented mindset.
• Comfortable developing and implementing proactive strategies.
• Comfortable working with minimal direction.
• Self-motivated and capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
• Ability to report onsite in Reno, NV 4-5 days a week
