The Role:

Mott MacDonald is growing, and with that growth comes an exciting opportunity to join our Wellington office as part of our Advisory Team.
Our Project and Programme Management team deliver infrastructure projects across New Zealand with a range of different clients, and are currently expanding again to support our NZ business across all our sectors.

This role represents a great opportunity for an experienced project manager with a background in consultancy engineering/project management to move into a truly global organisation.
Our wider team has members in
Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington and are currently working on a range of engagements across the country.

Candidate Specification
What you will do:

As part of our dynamic team, you will manage projects from the early phases of implementation through to construction phase monitoring, and drive projects to an effective and successful conclusion. You will be able to solve complex delivery challenges using both your judgement and experience, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations. You will work closely with our experienced design managers to manage relationships with the relevant stakeholders including the client, consultants, contractors, and internal staff.
You will also provide advice to our clients on how to establish and improve delivery on projects.

Current projects are focused in our Transport and Water sectors, however there are other opportunities to support projects in other areas also.

About You:

You will be tertiary qualified in engineering / infrastructure or project management, with several years’ experience delivering project management solutions across civil infrastructure projects.
We are looking for a project manager with excellent client relationship management skills, who takes pride in their ability to communicate and work with a diverse range of stakeholders.
You will be confident in managing project timelines and programmes, and keeping across various conflicts and project delivery challenges. You will have experience of administering multiple types of contract including NZ standard and international. Experience in design and construction contracting environments, and a formal project management qualification would be a benefit.

Your passion for delivering projects for our communities, and the ability and energy to work in a team environment is highly desirable. Your well-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to influence and guide key stakeholders will set you up for success from the start of your career at Mott MacDonald.
