A leading firm in the finance industry is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and results-oriented Permanent Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in accounting or a related field, with a strong understanding of SEC, SOX, and 10-K reporting. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment with a team of passionate professionals. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our financial statements, preparing and analyzing financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulations, and assisting with internal control improvements.

Responsibilities
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary.
• Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation, and analysis.
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
• Oversee taxes and abide by federal regulations.
• Ensure compliance with SEC, SOX, and 10-K reporting requirements.
• Assist in the development of internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.
• Mentor junior staff and assist in their professional development.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Extensive knowledge of SEC, SOX, and 10-K reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.
• Experience with accounting software and databases.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments at once.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
