Skills Provision is searching for a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a medical devices company in France.Our client develops medical devices that catch serious or life-threatening conditions.Location: Nantes, FrancePosition: Permanent Salary & Benefits €74,000 paStrong benefits package offered The Role Strong oral and written communication skills (French & English)Drive engineering development projects involving a high degree of cross-functional coordination and hands-on problem solving driven by fundamental engineering and scientific principlesCreate designs, product requirements, design specifications and documentation, design descriptions and testing plans, as required by applicable medical device standards and internal proceduresBuild, assemble, modify, test, and evaluate prototypes and analytical models; research and development on design options and perform experiments to determine design feasibilityParticipate in the selection, qualification, and management of clientsAbility to work in an environment as an individual contributor and member of a multidisciplinary team interfacing with engineering, scientific and business teams to develop world class medical devices and workflows Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering5+ years’ experience in medical device mechanical design and manufacturingStrong presentation skillsLiquid handling, fluid dynamics experience highly desiredMedical device industry experience and knowledge of French regulatory standards highly preferredExperience in high and low volume plastic injection moulding designsStrong background in materials selection, coatings, and material biocompatibilityExperience in lab automation and mechanism design Skills Provision is an ethical international recruitment agency, as such our adverts do not discriminate with regards to age, race, gender, colour, creed, religion, sexual orientation, disability and nationality.
