Exemption Status: Exempt

Salary: US market data minimum $100,000 - $120,000 maximum wage range. You will receive a competitive total rewards package that is applicable to the U.S. only. The salary range may vary based on experience, skillset, and geographical location.

AttainX is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Applications Database Administrator to join our team. As a Master Applications Database Administrator, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing our organization's application databases. If you have 8-10 years of experience as a Master Applications Database Administrator and possess an in-depth understanding of database administration principles, this role is perfect for you!

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related area of study preferred.
• Minimum of eight to ten years of experience as a Master Applications Database Administrator, with a strong track record of managing and optimizing application databases .
• Proficiency in database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Expert-level understanding of database administration principles, including schema design, indexing, performance tuning, and data integrity.
• Extensive experience in advanced database administration tasks, including backup and recovery, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Knowledge of database security and access control mechanisms, including user management and data encryption.
• Proven expertise in database performance monitoring, capacity planning, and resource optimization.
• Experience with database change management processes and version control tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
• Collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
• Experience working independently and taking initiative.
• Security Clearance – must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident with the ability to obtain and maintain a public trust security clearance.

Job Duties:
• Collaborate with application developers and system architects to define and implement database schemas, structures, and optimizations to support business applications.
• Design, implement, and maintain high-performance and scalable application databases, ensuring data integrity, availability, and security.
• Perform advanced database administration tasks, including backup and recovery, performance tuning, query optimization, and data replication.
• Develop and enforce database security policies, access controls, and data encryption mechanisms to protect sensitive information.
• Monitor and manage database performance, capacity, and resource utilization, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
• Conduct database health checks, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and improve system stability.
• Implement database changes and upgrades, following change management processes and ensuring minimal impact on production systems.
• Design and implement database disaster recovery and business continuity strategies to ensure data availability and minimize data loss.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and network engineers, to support application deployments and integrations.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive database documentation, including data dictionaries, configuration details, and operational procedures.
• Stay updated with emerging database technologies, trends, and best practices, and provide recommendations for enhancing database administration processes and tools.
