Job Description:
CDM Smith's International Development Group bids on donor-funded infrastructure projects around the world. We are currently seeking local and international candidates for a USAID-funded project in Pakistan.
CDM Smith is seeking Pakistani and international professionals in the energy and climate resilience sectors in Pakistan for an upcoming USAID-funded climate-smart energy project in Pakistan.
Candidates should be fluent in English and have minimum of 7 years of experience in Pakistan with specialization in the energy and climate change adaptation and mitigation. Experience in other countries of South Asia is advantageous. Nationals of Pakistan are welcomed to apply.
Appropriate expertise may include such areas as:
• Clean energy development
• Waste-to-energy
• Biogas
• Climate financing
• Energy infrastructure development
• Energy policy, strategy and regulatory expertise
• Climate change adaptation
• Climate change mitigation, including reduction of methane emissions
• Energy efficiency and standards development
• Capacity building/training in the energy sector

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline. Professional engineering (PE) license. 7 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

Background Check and Drug Testing Information:
CDM Smith reserves the right to require background checks including criminal, employment, education, licensure, etc. as well as credit and motor vehicle when applicable for certain positions.
