Technical Sales Specialist

Ngaio Diagnostics has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, target driven individual with a scientific background to join our team as a Technical Sales Specialist, working predominantly with clinical diagnostic laboratories.

The role will focus on the sale, promotion and support of products from a global leading manufacturer into clinical diagnostic laboratories. This role will involve visiting existing and new customers on a regular basis to develop and renew relationships, while promoting specific products and to increase sales.

The Role:

· The development of our business interests in a diverse sales territory, in line with targets tied to the company growth plan.

· Managing key relations with our current customer base.

· Identifying and developing customer relations in areas where we are currently unrepresented.

· The preparation of sales reports and sales projections.

· The maintenance of a high level of product knowledge and competitor awareness.

· Ngaio will support this being a home based role for applicants wishing to apply from out of Nelson.

The Candidate

Essential:

· Qualified with a background in life sciences.

· Excellent communication and presentation skills.

· Strong analytical skills relating to problem solving.

· Ability to travel extensively domestically with occasional international travel.

· Strong research skills.

· Ability to act on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

· Proficiency in all Microsoft applications – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

· Possess a full driving license.

· Flexibility, the nature of this position will require to work such hours deemed necessary to complete the responsibility.

Desirable:

· Previous Industry experience.
