Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Network Optimization opportunities: Optimize DC Networks (# of DCs, Locations, Size), and identify service and financial inefficiencies in infrastructure and transport (Flows Optimization, Transportation and Service Level Opportunities) in selected APAC markets or clusters
• Identify Project / Define the scope of the project in collaboration with management
• Use Llamasoft and other tools to provide network modeling/optimization
• Provide structured analysis to identify performance improvement opportunities
• Review and validate data, build models, run scenarios, and assist in the preparation of results presentations
• Fully document modeling approach, data sources and transformations, assumptions, and constraints
• Present the recommendations to management
• Support country Project leader on the implementation to APAC countries
• Replenishment Planning: Aligning demand and supply processes and building, managing and executing a dynamic, agile and responsive demand and replenishment plan. Formalizing the demand and inventory management processes includes defining distributor Safety stock, Re-order point, monitoring distributor onhand stock and generate replenishment suggestion associate of EOQ definition.
• Work closely with Commercial, CE, Planning and CSR team to understand Replenishment Forecasting process and Logic
• Use Excel and other tools to design and build Replenishment Planning engine with data interface included (In-Market sales, Distributor stock, Topline etc)
• Work with Commercial and CE to identify Pilot distributors and rollout
• Review and validate data, run scenarios, and fine tune tool’s logic for best results
• Support tool rollout to other Baxter countries with distribution network market if applicable (ECEMEA, SEA etc)
• Distribution Freight Cost Analysis: Leveraging extensive information on Baxter distribution freight carriers RFQ and external data, understand the freight cost components of Road, Ocean, Rail and Express with associate of lead time, distance, and availability of network resources. Create a model of freight expense patterns and service requirements to support RFQ justification and identify opportunities to improve the distribution freight cost during routing operations.
• Work closely with Logistics, PSM and probably external consulting firms for defining freight data matrices, collecting basic data and cleanup
• Understand freight cost components by transportation model and service required, benchmark with market rate
• Build model for data analysis, scenario simulation and data verification
• Result can support RFP/Bidding justification and price negotiation including distribution freight, Replenishment and domestic inbound freight
• Result can support ad-hoc routing quotation justification (eg. GRF, Goods transfer etc)
• Continuous Improvement: Identify Supply chain improvement areas through data analysis and advise improvement solutions, optimize supply chain operation to improve efficiency and cost reduction in Greater China Region
• Understand business/operation needs within SC as well as cross functions / BUs
• Understands the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals.
• Support Business case analysis and operational reporting consolidation
• Continuously develop innovative supply chain model, improve supply chain efficiency.

Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in Transportation/Logistics/Supply Chain Management/Finance/Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated ability to identify problems/issues, recommend appropriate solutions, and follow-up to ensure positive results is required.
• Must be extremely analytical and be able to read, analyze and interpret data and financial reports
• Strong math and logic skills
• Accuracy in analyzing and researching data
• Very detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently with deadlines
• Advanced MS Excel and MS Access skills required (build Excel models, use macros, pivot tables, formatting, look-up tables, linking, database design skills)
• Project management skills, with the ability to influence decision-making, work effectively, and implement solutions in a cross-functional, team environment required.
• Strong team player able to manage stakeholders beyond organizational and hierarchical boundaries
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills are required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Experience in Supply Chain and in using Llamasoft supply chain modeling/optimization software applications and IBM COGNOS would be a plus
