Junior Technical Sales Specialist

Salary: Competitve with a company car

Start: ASAP

Hours: 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday

Location: Saffron Walden

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic chemistry graduate interested in pursuing a career in scientific sales to support their existing sales team.
This role offers the chosen candidate an opportunity to gain insight into the various functions performed by both our clients UK and International Sales Teams, and elements of Marketing and Product Management. Furthermore, there are numerous prospects for future career advancement.

The role will involve generating and nurturing leads, identifying opportunities, and effectively communicating the value of products and services. Exhibitions, face to face visits and co-travel are regular activities. Whilst predominantly UK based, international travel should be expected.

Your Location:
• The ideal candidate would be located within an easy commutable distance of Saffron Walden.

Responsibilities including:
• Support UK and International sales teams at visits, conferences, and daily operations.
• Support the generation and nurturing of leads by phone, email, video call or in-person.
• Respond to customer sales enquiries.
• Present products online and in-person.
• Perform equipment installations and customer training.
• Maintenance of accurate records, visit reports, prospect lists and data via our Salesforce CRM platform.
• Prepare and deliver sales/training materials (presentations, webinars, demos).
• Assist with sales reports.
• Reporting to Global Sales Manager.

• Quick to develop technical expertise in Radleys equipment and customer applications.
• Proactive.
• Efficient multitasker with a commitment to excellent customer service.
• Skilled in problem-solving and proposing solutions.
• Willing to adapt and take on various tasks as needed.

Experience, qualifications and skills required:
• Suitable scientific/technical background, preferably in chemistry or chemical engineering.
• Experience with laboratory instruments, handling, and demonstration.
• Technical knowledge in chemical synthesis, process development, work-up, and evaporation techniques.
• Strong organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills.
• Proficiency in using Word, Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, Teams, and Outlook.
• Valid driver's license.
