In addition to The Economist , The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) is the research and analysis division of the Economist Group. They help leaders prepare for opportunity, empowering them to act with confidence when making strategic decisions. The EIU is the global standard in providing high quality, actionable intelligence to the public and private sector, assessing issues that impact the businesses in more than two hundred countries.

We are developing a world-class product management organisation who are focused on building ground-breaking digital products. We are looking for a Product Manager to help us grow our syndication, licensing and content delivery platforms ensuring they meet current client needs and evolve to meet future needs and business objectives. This includes growing The Economist syndication platform to support EIU syndication and licensing partners.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a B2B in a media environment and be familiar with digital publishing. Experience with rights, licensing, syndication, taxonomy, tagging and metadata would be an advantage.

Accountabilities

Responsibilities:
• Work closely with clients, commercial stakeholders and business partners in the EIU to understand their needs and workflows
• Prepare quarterly roadmaps, in line with business goals and strategic priorities
• Document use cases, requirements and designs for development teams
• Work with business analysts, UX and/or design team members to map existing workflows and design new ones
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure product architecture is aligned with business needs
• Work with delivery, engineering, QA and business change to deliver value incrementally, using agile methodologies, and to ensure our tools are reliable, easy to use, performant and provide continuity of service for editors and customers

Organisation :
• Reports to the VP product, B2B
• Product owner for the Syndication team, working in close collaboration with the Engineering Manager and Delivery Lead
• Close working with functional stakeholders, particularly the commercial teams responsible for rights management and syndication across TEG; other product teams; business owners of related systems; and editorial
• Communicates with syndication clients and third-party platforms
