You will be working as Labor & Employment lawyer at global grade 10 and will be part of Motion business for BA Function Legal & Integrity division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Regional General Counsel and will be responsible for handling a broad range of L&E activities (either directly or through local legal counsels) and acting as a strategic business partner across APAC, under the direction of the Global Head of L&E law. Providing critical strategic input to develop the L&E APAC regional strategy for Motion.
Your responsibilities
• Handling local L&E cases for Motion and provide guidance to local legal counsel from other BA’s where needed
• Responsible for contract templates, policies and other fiduciary duties related to L&E in India
• Ensuring compliance with L&E law and ABB policies in the Motion countries in APAC
• Providing advice and counselling on risk mitigation related to L&E law in the Motion countries in APAC
• Collaborating with the Regional General Counsel(s) and HR leads within APAC region on key L&E topics
• Assisting with driving forward multiple Group ESG and DEI initiatives

Your background
• LLM or equivalent qualification from a reputable university in India
• A qualified L&E law lawyer currently admitted to practice law in India and with experience in APAC
• 10+ years’ post qualification L&E Law experience in a law firm or as in-house L&E counsel
• Work experience with international clients and cross-border projects, including exposure to strategic business decisions
• Advanced L&E law advice and disputes experience
• Experience with litigation, investigations and regulatory audits
