Job Summary
• Manage backup, security and controls of databases
• Perform database tuning within the competencies of operation & administration as per the application architecture and industry best practices.
• Manage Storage & Input/Output performance issues related to databases
• Restore Database and application server whenever required
• Allocate system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database
• Create primary database storage structures (table spaces) if requested by client.
• Create primary database objects (tables, views, indexes) if requested by client
• Enroll database users and maintaining system security, thus restricting access only to authorized database users and provide quarterly reports to client
• Ensure compliance with Database License agreements
• Monitor and optimize the performance of the database
• Liaison with systems administration to resolve operating system level issues to enhance or upgrade the database performance
• Write and/or execute SQL queries, functions, stored procedures as & when required per Business requirements
• Provide required 1st and 2nd Level operational Support and co-ordinate with vendor for 3rd level support
• Has knowledge & ability to support Oracle Super Cluster environment

Qualifications
• At least 4-6 years experience in performing Core-DBA Apps DBA activities
• Oracle Certified Professional for DBA & Oracle Certified Real applications Cluster expert
• Experience in Oracle 9i/10g/11g/12c
• Experience in Application Upgrade projects ( R11 To R12 ) and DB Upgrade projects ( 9i to 11g / 10g to 11g )
• Experience in Application Patching , Patch Management & Patch Analysis
• WebLogic Administration
• Experience in creating and maintaining Standby Database for production Database
• Refactoring and optimizing existing code & Fixing bugs in existing projects
• Experience in performing tuning of shared pool, buffer cache , log buffer , physical I/O , locks .
• Planning , Designing and prototyping new applications with professional documentation Security administration and user management involving rolled , privileges etc.
• Experienced in RMAN/Logical backup & restore activities
• Experienced in performance monitoring & tuning ( both application & DB)
