Apex Systems is looking for a SQL Database Administrator! This position contributes to the overall mission and goals by providing leadership and design capability in the area of database design and administration.

Responsibilities:

\tDesign, install, monitor, maintain, and performance tune production databases while ensuring high levels of data availability.
\tDeveloping, implementing, and overseeing database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software.
\tUpgrading, supporting, managing DB2 and Postgres SQL mfg database systems

Requirements:

\t3-5 years experience in DB2 and other DBA-Related Skills:
\t
\t\tDB2 LUW (AIX)
\t\tPostgres SQL
\t
\t
\tProject management (awareness)
\tOS experience for AIX and Intel
\tExcellent communication/customer service skills
\tStrong analytical skills
\tStrong documentation/written communication skills
\tPrioritize and multi-tasking and ability to work well in a collaborative teaming environment.

Pay Range: Approximately $55-$60/hour
