The Position

Data scientist Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced Data Scientist to help build a customized data analytics package. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Statistics and Programming demonstrated by working experience in data processing, data visualization and web development, preferably in Python. Much of the focus of this role will be on building an interactive Python web portal for data visualization and developing and managing SQL databases. Beyond technical skills, the data scientist will need soft skills for clear communications and proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities
• Work closely with project owner to build an interactive analytics web portal for data visualization
• Build data pipelines that clean, transform, and aggregate data from disparate sources
• Develop, test, document and optimize data processing and visualization scripts

Required skills and qualifications
• Three or more years of experience with Python, SQL, data science algorithms & data visualization tools
• Experience in web development, such as Slack or Django
• Excellent communication skills and team player

Preferred skills and qualifications
• Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Informatics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline
• Experience with healthcare or medical domain projects
• Ability to read English technical documents and write business communication emails
• Experience in data science algorithms and sharp problem solving skills
