This is an ONSITE position located in beautiful Columbia, MO.

This professional and technical position is responsible for coordinating the development and maintenance of DBRL's digital branch including websites and online services. Under the general supervision of the Public Relations Manager, develops and maintains library websites and web content in compliance with established stylistic, technical, navigational and aesthetic standards; and coordinates all content owner and technical support activities required to create and maintain information and processes authorized to be a part of the DBRL websites. Other duties include working closely with all departments in presenting the DBRL online and making recommendations to the PR Manager regarding web content and services.

Requirements

Minimum Job Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Design and
Development or a related area, or an equivalent combination of education and
experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is
required. Must have three plus years of experience working with web design and development
best practices including responsive design, user interface and user experience development, accessibility standards and search engine optimization. In-depth understanding of the WordPress CMS, including development of themes, plugins, custom post-types and other core functionality. Experience with Web analytics software (Google Analytics) required.

Preferred Job Requirements:

Experience with web application development in a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) environment is preferred.
