About the role

As a software engineer at Lean, you will play a critical role in developing and building the infrastructure that will underpin the future of the financial ecosystem. You'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies such as Java 17, Spring Boot, Microservices, PostgreSQL, Kafka, scripting languages and more. You'll be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our core product and continuously improving its performance, scalability, and reliability.

But it's not just about the technology, we're looking for a problem-solver, someone who thrives on challenges and is ready to implement compelling solutions to complex problems. You'll be working closely with cross-functional teams, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in fintech and ensuring our systems are aligned with industry standards. You'll also be participating in code reviews, and ensuring that all code is of high quality and adheres to best practices.

Requirements
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Scripting, REST
• 3+ years of experience as a software engineer
• Strong desire to learn new technologies and implement them
• Experience working in the financial sector
• Experience working in startup environments
• Interest in the Fintech industry, especially related to Open Banking
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Be familiar with API and OWASP top 10 security vulnerabilities. Ability to produce code that adheres to secure coding guidelines
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong understanding of software development best practices
• Self-motivated and comfortable with autonomy
