Description

Our client is a specialised Project Management, Consultancy, and Supervision firm, with 20+ years' experience in major maintenance, turnarounds, and new builds across diverse industries. They pride themselves on being experts in Project Engineering, Planning, and Commissioning.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for their New Plymouth team.

Your primary responsibilities would include crafting concise work programs, managing budgets, implementing efficient project plans, and upholding high standards of health, safety, and environmental controls.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and execute construction operations in line with project requirements and quality standards.
• Co-ordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project quality specifications.
• Request technical assistance as needed and have the authority to stop work.
• Develop and implement craft training and induction programs.
• Liaise with the client, understanding and meeting their requirements.
• Ensure safety, minimal environmental disturbance, and relevant information for all personnel.
• Oversee the implementation of Operation Procedures and Work Instructions on the project.
• Lead Weekly Progress/Look Ahead meetings and provide regular progress and cost reports to the Contracts Manager.
• Plan future work effectively and ensure compliance with Client work requirements, including permit systems and safety procedures.

Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of Project Management experience.
• Proficient with personal computers and MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with computerised Maintenance Management systems and MS Project.
• Effective communication skills with Supervisors, Engineers, and Managers.
• Experience in scheduling large and medium-sized projects.
• Team player with the ability to meet Safety and Quality targets within tight deadlines.
• Industrial site experience, preferably in Petrochemical.
• Possess a valid Driving License.
