We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Programme Accountant.

Principal Responsibilities
• Maintain estimates and manage costs for full life of programme and running cost deep dives
• Agree with Finance and Tax group on recharge and allocation methodology, liaising with Group Finance to implement the Group recharges
• Ensure budget are correctly allocated to business entity and functional budgets, monitor direct and indirect charges and managing consultancy invoicing, payment, and accruals process.
• Drive resource plan delivery proactively, balancing planning, scope, schedule, budget, communication, and risks
• Establish strong stakeholder engagement across HSBC group to ensure resourcing needs across the programme are effectively met to time and cost
• Work closely with Procurement and HR Recruitment team to ensure permanent, contractor and consultant hiring is done to plan and cost within required timelines
• Managing relationships effectively with internal and external stakeholders including HR, Recruitment, Procurement and Consulting Firm partners
• Reporting progress, issues, dependencies and risks to project or programme leadership and committees, as appropriate, and making recommendations to influence decision making, to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation
• Establishing effective project controls and procedures and quality assurance processes
Requirements
• Graduate in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related field
• 10 or more years of working experience in Project Management within Insurance or Financial Services settings. Experience in Insurance business lines, Insurance Finance and Finance Technologies is preferable
• Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English
• Solid stakeholder management skills with an ability to communicate internally and externally
• Excellent organizational, problem solving and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and changing priorities
• Ability to work efficiently and deliver against agreed deadlines
