Sisecam USA, https://www.sisecamusa.com/en is a Şişecam US subsidiary headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia with mining operations in Green River, Wyoming (Sisecam Wyoming). Sisecam Wyoming is located 20 minutes outside of Green River, WY and is one of the top employers in the area.

Sisecam Wyoming is seeking a Chemical Engineer to conduct analysis on refinery processes and production related problems, prepare recommendations and initiate corrective action. The Chemical Engineer provides technical support to operations and engineering designs for projects.

Responsibilities
• Participate in and/or lead technical projects as assigned by the Process Supervisor.
• Initiate and assist in plant wide testing of operations, process variables, and new raw materials. Supervise testing by directing supervisors, operators, and technicians as required.
• Regularly interact with unit operators to identify and vet process improvement opportunities.
• Track metrics to discover areas for improvement and monitor process changes and upgrades.
• Provide thorough instructions for successful implementation of process changes.
• Review all process and equipment downtime. Evaluate root causes and initiate corrective actions. Implement technological improvements to increase productivity.
• Provide necessary coordination between operations & maintenance to accomplish assigned tasks of each group. Support new installations, repairs, and shutdowns.
• Provide supervisory coverage as necessary, on a temporary basis, to fill in for Area Leaders and Superintendents.
• Keep abreast of daily operational problems and assist supervisors, operators, and superintendents in taking corrective action. Provide technical assistance.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes while focusing on safety and best practices.
• Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience providing technical support in an industrial processing facility.
• Demonstrated experience developing constructive relationships with key stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments, make independent decisions, and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven process improvement and project management skills.
• Knowledge in PI Systems: Vision, System Explorer, System Management Tools, etc.
• Demonstrated proactive commitment to safety.
• Demonstrated excellent written & verbal communication, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Results oriented and self-motivated.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people at all levels of an organization.
