Job DescriptionThe Information Technology (IT) Department at GUST invites applicants for a full-time position in information security officer. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor or Master degree related to computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field. The State of Kuwait does not recognize degrees from online universities.Minimum QualificationsThe ideal candidate must have completed a Bachelors or Master degree related to computer science, information technology, cybersecurity from a reputable international university with at least three years of experience after the Latest degree. The ideal candidate must be ambitious, self-motivated, hard-working, with the ability to work both individually and as part of a team. Candidates should possess any of the following certifications such as: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) and also be an expertise of information security & best practices, network and system security, risk management, and compliance regulations such as HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI DSS.Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST) was established in 2002 as Kuwait's first private American-model liberal arts university and affiliated with the Missouri University of Science and Technology (MS&T) & UMSL. GUST currently offers several programs in Arts and Sciences and Business, including an MBA degree.
