As an international institution, AKU operates on the core principles of quality, relevance, impact, and access; and AKU is a model of academic excellence and an agent of social change.Job Roles/Responsibilities:Reporting to the Manager HR, you will play an integral role in the provision of operational support to Business Partners and the wider business performing transactional/administrative HR activities.Specifically, you will be responsible for:
• processing of Resignations, end-to-endÿprocessing of all the separations
• ensure smooth transition of all offboarding activities
• timely coordination of follow up with all stake holder departments to ensure on time clearance for employees
• follow up with business for timely processing of Contract Conclusions, Extensions and Contract Renewalsÿ
• dealing with business, employees and other stockholders for various queries/issues
• prepare quarterly exit review report providing analysis of findings
• share Final Settlement Cases of separated employees with the ÿfinance department on timely manner for disbursements of funds
• preparing and sending out confirmation forms to the department heads for review and approval
• ensuring timely issuance and delivery of probation confirmation and conclusion letters
• reviewing receivables of resigned staff members
• reviewing and signing off terminal benefits forms, letter of resignation acceptance, contract conclusions as per authority matrix for further processing.RequirementsYou should have/be:
• at least a Masters? degree in Business Administration or Finance or equivalent
• at least fourÿto six years of proven track record of providing People/HR administrative support in a large, multi-site, multi-disciplined business
• experience of running HR Processes
• experience of working within a HR/confidential environment.
• proficient in the use of People soft, good working knowledge of Microsoft Applications such as Word, Excel & Outlook
• problem solving and managing tight deadlines
• prioritisation of own workload in a busy office environment
• knowledge of the wider organisation and how it functions within the external environment.
